Verigy has announced a testing agreement with DELTA Microelectronics, a provider of engineering testing services to fabless semiconductor companies in Europe.

DELTA has purchased two Verigy V93000 Pin Scale systems with RF capability, which will be used for engineering, characterization and volume test on wafer and in final test for high-performance RF applications such as Bluetooth, GSM, UWB, FireWire and W-LAN. As part of the arrangement, Verigy will provide test expertise and support to DELTA customers.

Verigy and Delta are collaborating to provide best-in-class engineering, ramp-up and final testing support, in Europe as well as in Asia and the U.S.

DELTA selected the V93000 RF test solution for the excellent yield and throughput of its unique multi-site test capability, which enables lower test cost per good device, the company said in a press release.

In addition, Verigy is adding test know-how to support these customers and will also provide support as the devices are outsourced.

The two companies will exhibit jointly May 14 - 15, 2007 at the 2007 IET (The Institution of Engineering and Technology) & FSA (Fabless Semiconductor Association) International Semiconductor forum in Paris, France.
