Nanotechnology Center Expands to Taiwan

IMEC, an independent research center for nanoelectronics and nanotechnology, recently announced the establishment of IMEC Taiwan in Hsinchu, Taiwan. IMEC Taiwan will initially be a representative office, but is expected to become an R&D center within the next six months.

IMEC Taiwan will facilitate access for Taiwanese semiconductor companies to IMEC’s R&D programs and take advantage of local high technology skills. The establishment of IMEC Taiwan follows several collaborations between IMEC and Taiwanese companies, R&D institutes, and universities, with the support of the National Science Council Taiwan.
